The county seat for Missoula County, the City of Missoula is a community full of quality of life. From vibrant streetscapes, scenic backdrops and small town charm on every corner, this community of 50,000 residents is a wonderful location to work, play and raise a family. Home of the University of Montana, the community boasts an eclectic entertainment environment as well as a supportive and vibrant business climate.

Since 2000, Missoula is the second largest city in Montana. The metropolitan area as a whole includes more than 110,000 residents. Its largest employers are the University of Montana and the area's two growing hospitals.

Location and quality of life are among Missoula's greatest assets.

Located along the Clark Fork and Bitterroot Rivers in Western Montana, Missoula is at the convergence of five mountain ranges, getting its nickname "The Hub of Five Valleys." In Missoula, people hike, fish, ski, eat, visit, work and live.  One of the most popular tourist destinations in the northwest, tourism is a large part of living in the area. Part of what attracts people to Missoula is the dramatic scenery, historic ties to Lewis & Clark, cattle ranches, business opportunities and western living. Conveniently located near Missoula International Airport and Interstate 90, the community is easy to access, making travel and commerce easy.

Business Climate

Frenchtown Technology & Industrial Center is proud of the community and the many organizations that support growth and commerce in the area.  Among them, are the Missoula Chamber of Commerce and the Clark Fork Coalition.
